Heather Webb is a professional musician, composer and music director; highly active in the NZ music scenes with extensive experience as a recording artist, bandleader and theatre guitarist. Heather performs with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, Free Theatre, Court Theatre, and Showbiz, at multiple Jazz and Arts Festivals, and the Silver Scrolls (with Julia Deans, Delaney Davidson and Bic Runga). She also leads her own groups, ‘Resolve’ and ‘The Stick!’. Notable commissions/recordings incl. Julia Deans, Like Water, Chch Arts Festival; CSO, Webber, Isaac Theatre Royal; Sumo, Shiko, Rattle Records; Delaney Davidson & AGBB, Silver Scrolls; Free Theatre, Alice, The Gym; Resolve, UC, Arts Centre; String Ensemble, Audio Foundation, Jeff Henderson; Considering Matthew Shepherd, Atlas Voices; Grace Under Pressure, Wellington Jazz Festival; and The Stick!, International Jazz and Blues Festival. Heather holds a Bachelor of Music (Hons) and tutors guitar at the University of Canterbury. She has worked with Free Theatre on the company's Ubu Nights and Alice (2018).
