Voices in the Rubble
Adele

In a rugged Woolston alley where Canterbury quakes hit hard
An industrial area of Christchurch was where the Theatre Art.
Down the ragged driveway past the Brewery Pub, rubble, bricks and
Broken dreams towards the Theatre Hub.
Through the door a dingy place roughly decked with chairs
We asked the question to a man; is this place quake proof safe?
To our relief the man said yes! Welcome, come and seat
The show begins when clock strikes eight, relax and enjoy the treat.
Three persons on the stage - the lights go dim and gentle plucking
On the bass begin; the instrument of wood upstaged by vocal play
The power of the 'tragedy' stays with me ever more - Hereafter powerful
